This song was born out of a moment of deep awe — out of realizing just how pure, holy, and beautiful the love of Jesus truly is. For a long time, I didn’t really understand that. I knew that Jesus was good — but I had no idea how limitless His goodness, gentleness, and love actually are. For years, I prayed that He would reveal Himself to me as He truly is. Many times, out of frustration, I told Him, “I don’t really know You.” And I had no idea how to change that.

People say you just need to spend time with Him. But when you struggle to build relationships, when you’re more of a loner and have a hard time trusting, that’s not as easy as it sounds. My relationship with Jesus and the Father was shaken for years. There were moments when I didn’t understand Him at all — when I even felt anger toward Him. I couldn’t make sense of why my prayers had gone unanswered for so long. I felt unseen, abandoned — so much that at times I wished I could just stop existing. Yet deep down I knew one thing for sure: Heaven and hell are real. That truth became my protection — it’s what kept me alive.

 

Today, when I look back, I’m grateful for that dark valley. God used it to transform me — deeply, profoundly, and tenderly. That kind of change could never have happened any other way. After all those years, Jesus began to show me who He truly is — and He’s still doing it.

I’m in awe of His love, His patience, and His care. He is love itself — a light that shines through everything, indescribably beautiful. Words will never be enough to capture His unconditional love. That love touched me so deeply that I had to put it into music. Every line of this song comes straight from my heart — from its deepest place.
